Be it Vknown that I, ANDREW J. DAVIS, of Hertford, in thefcountyof Van Brurenfend State of -lllichignnl have invented new and improved Mops; and I do herebydeclarc'thot the followingr is o full, clear, und exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the aljtto' make n-nd use the same, reference beinghnd to the accompanyingdrawings forming prt of this specification.

This invention relates ton new and improved inethod of constructing mop-frames, whereby facilities are ,eordedfor wringing the mop; and it consists in attaching the mopfto a. sliding frame, by' aholder, which is lrevolved by gearing and crank, for twisting or wringing the mop,v as will be hereinafter described.

4 By turning the crank, it will be seen that the mop B will b e twisted or wru-ng`without touching it .with the hands. For this purpose thc sliding freine is drawn up, as seen'in'the draining.

Hoving described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Lettere Patent- 1. The sliding frame D, the shaft :ind gear-wheels E, F, and H, arranged substantially as shown end described, in combinationtherewith,` and with `the mop B and frame A, forlthe purposes set forth.
