Beit known that I, JAMESH. HULSE, of theeity of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, have invented a new and useful Machine for Pressing Pants; and I do hereby declare that the following is afull and exact description thereof, referencebeing had to the accompanying drawing 'and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
The nature of my invention consists ina novel arrangement of pants -on a frame for stretching pants, and it consists in two upright stays, marked d Z1 c, the stays b c hinged, to permit them to expand, in connection `aith'stretchers d, e, andf. d andfstretchers pass'throngh the upright stays atthe top and bottom, by means of openings mortised in the said stays a b e. Stretchersd andf are for the purpose of stretching'the waistl and bottoms of the'pants. Stretcher e works in the groove t, for the purpose of expanding'the seat and legs ofthe said pants.
The str'etchers d andf are kept n`place by means of`pins g,- as shown in the drawings, passing through the said stretchers @Z andf, the whole machine pressing and stretching the said pants.
Now, having described the nature of my invention, what I claim' as new, and desire to obtain by Letters Patent, is l y The combination ofA the upright, a, with cross-supporting piece e, with the hinged stretcher b c, and adjustable supporting cross-piecesfd, the whole arranged as herein described, and for purpose specified.
