vBe it known 'that ILGEORGE LANE, of the city, county, und State of' New Yorlghave invented a. new and useful Improve-ments in Ice-Pitchers;l and do hereby declare that. the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to theaccompunying drawings, Forming part of this specification, and of whichV Figure 1 is :t plan-or top view,

The nature of this invention consists in furnishing un icc-pitcher with spouts on opposite sides, and with trunnions, which enable the icepitcher, when placed on its framework, to swing freely, und leen to the side from which the water is to be drown by the pressure of a. persons finger, whereby the necessity of'ruising the pitcher from itslseut, or the table-ou which it muy be placed, to ll n. glass of water, is dispensed with. I

To draw a glass of ice-water from the pitcher, it will only be necessary to place e finger in the riugf, und, bea-ring a little on the same, tilt the pitcher, when the wuter will flow fromthe spout F into the tumbler held in a. person's hand, and the necessity of lifting the pitcher from its scatto ll ai glass of' -wnter obviated, mid thus u very convenient vessel lfor ice-water and like purposes substituted for those in present use.

Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure byLetters Patent, is-

Constructing a pitcher for containing ice-water, with spout?, FF, trunnionsG G r, stand A, and Hout E, substantially :1s und for the purposes set forth.
