To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, DAVID HARRINGTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dallas, Texas, have invented certain new and use- Stoves, ranges, or furnaces of any size may be equipped with the improved superheating attachments. The superheating of the steam is accomplished automatically as the steam is produced. One object is to arrange the attachments so that one fire-box or furnace will produce the heat for boiling the water to produce the steam and to super-heat the steam. These attachments may be applied to stoves or ranges used by private families as well as to stoves, ranges, or furnaces in use in restaurants, hotels, and other places for the public. Other objects and advantages will be fully explained in the following description, and the invention will be more particularly pointed out in the claims.

Reference is had to the accompanying drawings,which form a part of this application and specification.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a stove, the fire-box door and the oven-door being opened and the boiler being broken to show the arrangement of the steam-circulating pipes. Fig. 2 is a broken perspective View of the cooking-oven, illustrating the manner of projecting steam into the oven. Fig. 8 is a broken view of the boiler. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the pipes for circulating the steam through the fire-box and delivering the same to the oven. Similar characters of reference are used to indicate the same parts throughout the several views.

The stove shown in the drawings illustrates one way of attaching the steam-superheating apparatus.

A indicates the fire-box, which may be heated by any convenient mode of heating, as by wood, coal, oil, or gas.

B indicates the boiler, which is preferably arranged above the fire-box. V

C indicates an oven, which is arranged above the boiler.

The boiler B is provided with a flange b on the base thereof, which covers the openingin the top of the fire-box and also provides a convenient manner of passing the steam-pipes t0 and from the firebox.

D indicates the steanrpipe, which is connected to the top or upper part of the boiler at (Z and enters the fire-box at f. From f the pipe circulates back and forth in the upper part of the fire-box and passes out of the fire-box at g. This pipe may be passed back and forth in and about the fire-box as many times as may be necessary to acquire the desired degree of heat. A pipe F is connected to the pipe D byasuitable union 7t and is then projected or placed by or on the oven C and provided with a number of valves 7:, as many valves being employed as there are compartmentsin the oven, for conveying the superheated steam to the oven.

The boiler is provided with a spout m for convenience in filling the boiler with water.

Various changes may be made in the construction and arrangement of the superheating-pipes and the other elements of the combination shown without departing from my invention.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. An apparatus of the character described having a fire-box, a boiler supported on said fire-box, an oven mounted on said boiler and provided with a plurality of compartments, and a pipe connected to said boiler and circulated through said fire-box and extending up to said oven for supplying the compartment of said oven with superheated steam.

2. An apparatus of the character described having a fire-box, a boiler supported on said fire-box, an oven mounted on said boiler and provided with a plurality of compartments and ventilators and a drip-pipe, and a pipe connected to said boiler and circulated through said fire-box and extended up to said oven and provided with a plurality of valves for supplying the compartments of said oven with superheated steam.
