citizen of Italy,andresiding at New York, in the county of New'lork and State of New York, have invented certainnew and useful Improvements in Stoves orR-anges, of; which thefollowingis a specification, such'as will enable those skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same. 7 i This invention relates tostoves or ranges, and the object thereof is to provide an improved device of this'class designed for the ,use of either coal or gas as may be desired, one end portion thereof being adapted for use as a gas range or stove, and the other cendportion as a coal stove, saidfdevice be- .ing also provided, centrally thereof, with 'a water boiler adapted to be heated from or by means of, either the gas stove or range portion or the coal stove or range portion. The invention isfully disclosed in the following specification, of which the accompanying drawings form a part, in which the separate'parts of my improvement are designated by suitable reference characters in each of the views, and inrwhich Figure 1 is a perspective viewof my improved stove or range ;Fig. 2 a vertical longitudinal section thereof ;-Fig. 3 a transverse vertical section .on the line 3-3 of'Fig. .2;Fig. 4 a. similar section on the line 44 of Fig. 2;Fig. 5 a similar section on the line 5-5 of Fig. 2, and ;Fig. 6v a similar section on the line 66 of Fig. 2.

In the practice of my invention, I provide a stove or range a which is oblong in form and rectangular in cross section, and in the central portion of which, or approximately the central portion 'of which, is a transverse water boiler b.

For the purpose of this description, the

Any suitable means may be provided for supplying air to the gas burners d and (Z and said burners may be of any form or construction as may also the burners d and g, and various changes in and modifications of the construction herein shown and described may be made, within the scope of the appended claims, without departing from the spirit of my invention or sacrificing its advantages.

Having fully described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A stove orrange one end portion of which is provided in the bottom thereof with a gas oven having top and bottom burners and above which is a heating oven, the other end portion of said stove or range being provided with a firebox inwardl of which is an oven around which the pro ucts of combustion from said firebox are adapted to pass, said stove or range being also provided centrally thereof with a bOiler adapt- .ed to be heated by either end portion o said stove or range when in use, said boiler being also provided with independentme'ans' whereby it may be heated.
