-Be it known that I, JEREMIAII E. ROIIRER, oi' Rohrersvlle, in the county of Washington, and State of- Maryland, have invented a new and improved Spent-Bracket', and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the u rt' to make and use the same, reference being h ad-to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification'. This invention relates to a new aud useful improvement in the method of holidingthe spout or gutter to the eaves of' buildings, whereby the same are made bth useful and ornamental, while 'the durability and safe@7 ot' `the spoutv are greatly increased; and the invention consists in forming the top portion of a.cornice-bracket s0 .as to t the eaves-spout, and in attaching thereto a clasp, by which the spout isrmlyheld in place, as will be hereinaftermore fully described.

i A is the bracket. B is the eaves-spoutor glitter. C is the' clasp for'holding the spout in place. .These brackets may be made of any suitable material, and after any design, so as to render them ornamental on'a. building, and effective for the purpose intended, and they are seurely fastened under the eaves, so as to supp` port the spout in a proper position for receiving the watr'frolu the roof, as represented in the drawing.

The clasp C muy be made of any nonori-osi've metal, and attached to the front of the bracket,'as seen.

This clasp `will securely hold the front edge of the spout, while the projecting eaves will hold theback edge.

The brackets may be placed as near together onl the building as may be necessary for properly supporting the spout, or for presenting an ornamental appearance on the front of the building. l i

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patente-f 4 The spout-.supporting bracket A, constructed as represented, in combination with the clasp C, substantially `es described, for the purpose specified.
