TO ALL WHOM IT` MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, S. C. PRUDEN, of Harmony, in the county of Athens, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and improved Burner; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable thos'e skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification. v
The present invent-ion relates to a. new and improved burner or tubefor coal-oil and other. similar lamps more particularly, theimprovement consisting in using, in the tube or burner, alum, whereby a more brilliant, perfect, and' even light is enabled to be produced from the. burning ofthe oil within the lamp, a wick or other suitable conducting-medium therefor being employed, if so desired.
