PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN L. MOORE, OF ALEXANDRIA, MINNESOTA.
DISPLAY-STAN D.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 738,345, dated September 8, 1903. Application filed May 14, 1903. erial No. 157,106. (No model.)
To ctZZ whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN L. MOORE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Alexandria, Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Display-Stands, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in stands for displaying candy buckets and other articles; and the object of the invention is to provide a simple and convenient arrangement by which a plurality of buckets of candy may be supported in such manner as to effectively display the contents thereof.
I have illustrated the invention in the accompanying drawings, in which-- Figure 1 is a side elevation, and Fig. 2 is a sectional plan.
In the drawings, A represents a vertical standard of suitable height, supported upon a plurality of legs B B of any desirable shape. Two annular shelves 0 and D are provided, one near and supported by the legs, while the upper one, C, is located sufficiently far above the lower to provide ample space for the buckets, as shown in Fig. 1. The lower shelf is preferably made Wider than the upper, so that the buckets may set out from the standard. To hold the buckets against slipping therefrom, I provide a number of hooks corresponding in number to the number of buckets to be supported, and these I prefer to fasten to the under side of the upper shelf, as shown in Fig. 1. The bottoms of the buckets rest upon the shelf and the bails are engaged with the hooks, as shown. I prefer to extend the standards to a suitable height and provide a shelf or shelves E, upon which the scales may be supported, and where, as shown, this shelf is too high to secure the upper hooks in the same manner as are the lower hooks I secure the hooks to the standard itself- Having thus described my invention, what I claim is 1. A stand for displaying candy-buckets comprising a standard or support, a plurality of annular shelves for supporting the bottoms of the buckets, said shelves decreasing in size toward the top, and a plurality of radiating hooks for engaging the bails of the buckets, substantially as described.
2. A stand for displaying candybuckets comprising a standard, lower and upper bucket-supporting shelves thereon, the upper bucket-supporting shelf being of less diameter than the lower shelf, bail-engaging hooks carried by the under side of the upper shelf,
bail engaging hooks projecting from the standard above the upper shelf surmounting the standard, substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
JOHN L. MOORE. Witnesses: ANDREW JAcoBsoN, GRACE LINDELL.
