To all whom it may concern: I

Be it known that I, GEORGE D. BAILEY, a

I citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvementsin DisplayStands; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and t0 the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

This invention comprises a display-stand adapted particularly for holding a bolt of cloth in position to display the same.

It is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view thereof, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation showing abolt of cloth thereon.

The device comprises a tubular standard A, supported on legs B; a rod D, which fits and has vertical adjustment therein; a setscrew E, which extends through the tube to engage the rod and hold the same at adj ustment, and a loop or how 0, which enters and supports the bolt indicated at F. The loop is. joined at its ends to the top of the rod and has an angular ofiset c in both of its branches at the lower end thereof. This offset forms a support under the lower end of the bolt,

and the loop is inclined from the vertical to bring the center of gravity above the base of the standard and thereby secure stability.

The parts are preferably made of metal and produce a cheap and convenient device for the purpose intended. The rod D and the tube are cylindrical, so that the former inay turn on the latter todisplay the bolt in any direction desired. The loop has sufficient elasticity to accommodate itself to bolts of difierent sizes, being formed of spring metal.

In use a portion of the cloth may be readily unwound from the bolt and conveniently draped to display the cloth and conceal the stand. v What l claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. A display-stand comprising a base, and an inclined loop having an offset portion at the lower end thereof forming a supportingshoulder for goods, adjustably and rotatably supported on the base.

2. A'display-st-and comprising a base, a rod adjustable thereon, and an inclined loop the branches of which are ofiset at an angle to thelplane of the loop to form a goods-support and joined to the rod at their lower ends.
