TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, THOMAS C. RICHARDS, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and'useful Improvement in Attaching Ornamental Heads to Nails, Screws, &c. and that the following description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, hereinafter referred to, forms a full and exact specification of the same, which my invention may be distinguis and desire to have secured to me by Letters Patent.

This invention relates to a new and improved mode of attaching ornamental heads to nails, screws, &c.,

whereby said head may, with the greatest facility, be applied to the screw or nail after the same has been driven or screwed in a. wall or other fixture.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent Attaohingornamental heads to nails and screws by means 0 nail or screw, composed of-a separate piece of metal attached to the under side of the ornamcntedhead, as herein shown and described. v
