SPECIFICATION formingpart of LettersPatent N 0. 725,859, dated. April 21, 1903. Application filed March 31, I902. Serial No. 100,874:- N modem 2'0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EMANUEL MoLLER, of
Aarhus, in the Kingdom ofDenmark, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Apparatus for Drawing Parallel Lines, of which the following is a specification.
The invention consists of an apparatus for drawing parallel lines, and in the form shown it is principally applicable for use in connection with accounts and the like in offices; but as a matter of course it may also be used for all other ruling-work.
The invention is shown in the annexed drawings.
Figure 1 is a side view of the apparatus. Fig. 2 shows the apparatus in another aspect with a part of it in section. Fig. 3 is the same view of the apparatus as that given in Fig. 2, but without any part in section.
The apparatus comprises a handle a, of
wood or other suitable material, .into which is fastened any well-known device for draw ingaline-for example,an adjustable pointholder e. In order that the handle may not split, ametal ring I) and washer c are fixed on its end, thus forming a smooth or even surface at the junction between the handle and the other portion of the apparatus.
A rectangular plate at of U shape in section projects from the aforesaid device and carries a pivotal pin 2', on which is pivoted the other movable point-holder f or its equivalent, which is arranged to swing or move about i.
