SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent lNo. 707,131, dated August 19, 1902.

Be it known that I, PETER HQLUrrINK, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Door-Hangers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.

The improvements consist incertain peculiarities of construction and combination of parts hereinafter particularly'set'forth with reference to the accompanying drawings and subsequently claimed,jthe object of 'the in-v j central vertical section of the hanger in connection with a fragment of a door that is also in section.

Referring by letter tothe drawings, A in-y dicates a fragment of a door, and B'a'section of my improved.vertically-extensible separa` ble hanger attachable to the door. rIfhis section of the hanger is shown asibeing a flat sheet-metal plate in one piece, with apertured cornerears b and a pair ofvertical outer ianges o, these ianges being at right angles to the plate and parallel between upper and lower ears of the same. Screws or otherfastoning devices extend through the corner-ears b to hold the aforesaid hanger-section on a door, and the ianges o of this hanger-section are perforated at intervals of their lengthy.'

However, the corner-ears of hanger-section B may be omitted and apertures for fastening .devices provided elsewhere inthe same.` The shank C of anothersheet-metal section of the hanger opposes the section aforesaid between the flanges o of same and is provided with a pair of integral outer right-angle flanges d, that areshown for the most part parallel to each other and those of the other section,their upper ends being divergent to stiften the wider upper portion of said shank.' The flanges d are perforated similar to-'the ones c, and bolts D extend through registering perforations in all the lianges to hold the sections of the hanger in their adjustment one upon the other, keys e or other suitable means being employed to prevent automatic displacement of the bolts.

all 'of which 'can be readily done when a hanger is in use'withoutrelnoval of either of its sections from workingposition.`

`SHaving thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

A sliding-door hanger comprising two sheet,-y

rnetal sections adjustablelongitudinally one upon the other and each provided with integral outer vertical flanges perforated at intervals of their length, the anges of one section'bein g movable along those of the other section, bolts engaging registering perforationsfin all the flanges, means for preventlng automatic displacement of the bolts, and a track-roller carried by one of the sections aforesaid. n In testimony that I claimf the '-foregoingI have hereunto set my hand,at Milwaukee,in the county of Milwaukee and State of,Wis consin, in the presence of two witnesses.:
