FOOT-STRAP FOR DRAWERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N 0. 7 dated-"June 1902' i Application. filed February 27, 1902. Serial No- 95,990. (No model.)
To wZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARGARET D. W1LooX, a citizen of the'United States,'residingat Portsmouth, in the county of Norfolk and State of Virginia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Foot-Straps for Drawers, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a foot-strap for drawers to be used by men, boys, and women.
In practice where drawers with knit-rib elastic cuffs are worn the cuff is liable to be rolled up by the drawing .on of a stocking. This produces a bulge at the instep orv ankle of the wearer that is disagreeable.
The object of my invention is to provide a strap device which may be applied to the drawers-cuff and extend under the foot, and thereby hold down the lower end of the drawers when the stocking is pulled on.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 shows the representationof a foot and leg with a drawers-leg on it and the improved strap in proper position for holding down the drawers-leg. Fig. 2 shows the same indicated by broken lines and a stocking over it. Fig. 3 shows the foot-strap on a larger scale with the ends approximately in position as when in use.
