Be it known that I, A. T. WOOLSEY, of Sandusky, in the county of Erie, and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful improvementsnin Ironing-Tables; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and complete description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making apart of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view.

Figure 2 is a detached section that will be referred to in the description.

Like letters of reference refer to like parts inthe views.

This table consists of the rack A, or baskctand ironing-board B. This basket is constructed in the following manner: D are standards.` Extending from one end of this raek te the other is the cross-piece C, pivoted at c: to the standards, as shown. Secured to these standards near the top are the side pieces or boards D D, one on each side. Connected to and passing through the piecesl C D D, in the manner shown in the drawing, is the cordd, thus forming a basket for holding the clothes. On the top of the standards are'placed the boards or strips' a a), one at each end. These strips hold the basket Afirm and steady while using the board, and are also for the'board to rest upon. The said board B is pivoted to the strip a', as shown a in iig. 2, which is an under side view of the board and strip. I is the handle of the board, in which are cut one or more grooves, e c. This is for the cord Z te catch in, and thus support the opposite end of the board, which -may be raised more or less, as desired. The board is pivoted to the strip a', `as stated, so as to allow it to bc turned round to or from the person ironing, or o' from `the basket for thepurpose of taking out or putting clothes in the basket.

The basket is also convenient in ironing anything large, as skirts, to hold them while being iro-ned, and thus prevent them from brushing on the iloor and getting dusted and stepped on. When the table is not to be 1, thus taking up very little room, and making a very convenient ironing-board and basket.

What I claim as my improvement, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is`

The standards B', cross-bar C, and cord E, in combination with the board B, having a horizontal and vertical adjustment, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
