Application filed December 2, 1898- Serial No. 698,069. (No model.)
T0 at whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, GEORGE E. BROWER and ERNEST O.BROWER,citizens of the United States, residing in the borough of Brooklyn, city of New York, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Garm cut-Presses and Cases for the Same, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of the same, wherein-- Figure 1 represents a perspective View 0 the case open, showing the pressure device and garment books or covers in position; Fig. 2, a perspective of a trousers book or cover, and Fig. 3 a preferred construction of pressure device.
Referring to the drawings, a represents a case, preferably of wood, provided with a cover a and a drop-front a. Y b represents the garment books or covers in this instance as adapted to trousers.- These books are designed to hold the garment stretched to its full length.
0 represents a board adapted to fit into the case and is provided with springs c c, &c., that bear upon the cover When closed and create a pressure upon the books or covers.
The books or covers are preferably made of pasteboard covered with linen and may be shaped to suit each particular garment, the idea being to provide each separate garment with a separate book or cover before submitting the same to pressure.
The operation is as follows: The garment is properly folded and placed flat in one of the books. The book is then closed and slid or placed in the box and the springpressed board placed upon the top of the same and the box closed.
Having now described our invention, What we claim, and desire to secure by Letters Pat'- ent, is-
