ADJUSTABLE AND PORTABLE FLOWER-STAND.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 635,940, dated October 31, 1899.

Application filed August 10, 1899. Serial No. 726,766. (No model.)

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. MINNIX, a citizen of the United States, residing at WVashington, District of Columbia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Adjustable and Portable Flower-Stands; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This inventionrelates to a new and useful improvement in folding stands for plants, flowers, 8m.

' The invention consists in the construction hereinafter set forth.

In the annexed drawings, Figure l represents the frame of the stand with parts ready to be put into place. Fig. 2 represents the device complete. ing the method of securing the supports together. Figs. 4, 5, and 6 are details of construction.

In the drawings the letters A A A indicate the supports, which are alike, being substantially triangular. They consist of the uprights a, the inclines a, and the crossbraces a at the bottom. The inclines a and cross-braces a are preferably connected by hinges a to the uprights a. Projecting at stated intervals from the inclines a are rests B. These rests have forks b, which straddle the inclines, and bolts passing through them secure them together. The several supports are preferably held together by the hinges a Near the top each upright ahas a hole or slot 0, and through these several holes passes a curved stay or brace O. Secured to the tops of the supports A and A are two curved quadrant-shaped tracks D and D These tracks are concaved on top, and one, D, is narrower than the other, D so that they may slide past Fig. .3 is a top View show-' each other.
