A folding table comprising a top provided with a pair of under side cleats, a pair of legs having their upper ends in sliding pivotal connection with the cleats, another pair of legs in pivotal connection with the ones aforesaid, fixed pivots for the upper ends of the second pair' of legs, and a spiral spring connecting the table-top with a cross-piece between the first pair of legs.
