O. F. J. MOLLER AND O. LATHAM SHOLES, OF MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN.
IMPROVED SHOE-BRUSH.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N0. 57,168, dated August 14, 1866.
To all whom 'it may concern l Be it known that we, G. F. J. MOLLER and C. LATHAM SHOLES, of the city and county of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful Improvement on the Shoe- Brnsh now ordinarily in use; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing, wherein- A represents the blade or scraper, and B the brush with the blade or scraper attached, making part of this specification.
The'edge-line from o to d represents nearly the arc of a circle, which adapts it the more readily to the rounded shape of the boot. The
point c is intended to operate between the sole and upper leather, and the end f is calculated for cleaning the edge of the sole.
We construct our improvement or invention by taking or man ufacturin g the shoe-brush in any of the forms or styles in use, and attaching to either side of the same a blade or scraper The construction and arrangement of the scraper, in combination with the brush, as
herein described, consisting of the end f, for cleaning the edge of the sole, the point c, for` cleaning between the sole and upper, the cnrvilinear edge from c to d, and attached to the side of the brush, for the purposes set forth.
