SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 502,525, dated August 1, 1893.

Be it known that I, WILLIAM HENRY MENE- HAN, of Kingston, in the county of Ulster, in the State of New York, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Combination-Tools, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact description.
My invention relates to tools, and particularly to combination tools adapted to be used upon engines and machines of all kinds.
My object is to produce a tool applicable to be used for various purposes, combining in one article a wrench, adapted to fit nuts of various sizes, a screw-driver and a spindlelifter.
My invention consists in the several novel features of construction and operation hereinafter' described and which are specifically set forth in the claims hereunto annexed. It is constructed as follows, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l, is an isometrical elevation of the tool complete. Fig. 2, is an edge view thereof. Fig. 3, is a top plan view of the tool,

A-, is the body, having the diagonally upwardly extending jaws -land -2- forming a wrench, the inner edge of the jaw 1 being smooth and the corresponding edge of the jaw -2- having ratchets upon it for the purpose of adapting it to engage with the corners of nuts of various sizes. The opposite extreme end of the body is tapered preferably and sufficiently sharpened to form a screw-driver -3, and adjacent to this end are the upturned and inwardly curved wings -4-4, forming the curved recess --5-, tapered or decreasing in size inwardly for the purpose of forming the spindle-lifter- This may also be used for many other purposes, such as for the purpose of raising the valve-rod in an oil-cup, dac.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. The herein described combination tool comprising the body -A-having diagonally extending arms at one end, a screw-driver at its opposite end and a spindle lifter adjacent thereto, tapered inwardly, as set forth.
2. vThe herein described combination tool, comprising the body -A-, having the diagonally extending arms at one end, the inner edge of one of said arms having ratchets therein, a screw-driver at its opposite end and the spindle-lifterv adjacent thereto` tapered inwardly, as set forth. l
