CHIMNEY-RACK.
SPECIFICATION forming' part of Letters Patent No. 487,601, dated December 6, 1892.
Application filed February 3, 1892. Serial No. 420.144. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, NEHEMIAH H. BROWN, of Norwich, in the county of Chenango and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Lamp-Chimney Rack, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact descrip tion.
My invention is an improvement in the class of show-racks having pins set in horizontal bars or vertical posts. The construction and arrangement of parts are as hereinafter described.
The accompanying drawing exhibits a side view of my invention, the base beingibroken away.
The body 17 of the rack is conical in form and mounted upon a vertical shaft 18, which is fixed in base 19. A washer 20 is applied to the bottom of the cone to relieve friction with said base 19 when it is revolved. Straight pins 21 are set in the side of the cone and are at aright angleto adjacent longitudinal planes of the surface of the cone, so that when lampchimneys are placed thereon their bases will rest on the cone both above and below the pins.
The device is asimple and convenient means for supporting lamp-chimneys so that they will be well displayed to View and readily accessible.
What I claim is- The improved lamp-chimney rack composed of the rotating cone 17, having pins 21 set in its side at the angle specified, and the base 19 and shaft 18 for supporting said cone, as shown and described.
