To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, VALTER JONES, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, in the county and State of New York, haveinvented certain new and useful Imn proven'ients in Bracelet-Gages, f ully described and represented in the following specification and the accompanying drawings, forming a part of the same.

My invention consists in the order of constructing the slide in connection with the band, in the feature for locking it at a given l point, and for taking the gage.

In my drawings, Figure l isa side elevation. Fig. 2 is an end elevation. Fig. 3 is a plan; Fig. 4, a plan of the slide in blank; and Fig. 5 is the same partly bent up.

For my construction I prepare the band A with the end portions B C cut. out as a part of the band, or being adapted to be folded over to form the slide D. The portion B has the sections F for ears to turn up from the outside, and the portion-C has the sections G for the ears to turn up from the inside, so

lthat when the two portions are folded together to form the slide the ears F will come inside of the ears G, and thus together form the ears H for holding the lever-cam I to be used for locking the slide Vat any dsired point on the band for a gage. A pin J is put through the ears I'I and the cam holding itin place and it will be seen that turning the lever over from one side to the other will lock or unlock the slide, as required. The band is provided with small indentations K on its outer surface, allowing the edge of the cam to catch into them, the better to prevent the slide from moving when it has been once set, and also on the surface of the band are gage-lines and figures L to indicate the various sizes. A gage-mark P, at right angles with the slide and coming close to the band, is secured to one end of the slide to indicate from which end of it the size is to be taken. The slideis made sufficiently open so that the opposite end of 'the band may be slipped into it to form the band in shape for a gage.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new isl. The band A, having at one end the sections B C, adapted to be folded over to form the slide D, `in combination with the portions F G, substantially as specified.

6. The slide D, carrying the'cam I and piece P, and the band A, provided with the indentations K and gage-lines and figures I., making a newbracelet-gage, substantially as specified.
