My invention consists of a hood so constructed that there shall be at the back ot' the same a bag for the reception of the Wearers hair.
In order to enable others skilled in the art to make my invention, I will now proceed to describe the the nianner of constructing and.
applying' the same.
On reference to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure l is a side view ot' the hood, showing JtheV manner in which it is Worn Fig, 2, a vievv of the back ot the hood, and Fig, 3 a sectional View.
A is a hood, of knitted fabric or other suitable material, enlarged at the rear so as to form a bag, @,which hangs down over the cape b, as shown in the drawings.
Oning to the present-mode of arranging the l air in a bag or net at the back of the head, the ordinary form of hood cannot be Worn Without more or less inconvenience. If that part of the hood to which the cape is attached b left to remain loose aga-inst the net, the
hood is prevented from being drawn fully onto the head, and presents an unbecoming appearanee 3 and if, on the other hand., the hood is drawn onto the head and tied in front, the net, with the hair, is drawn tightly against the neck, which not only disarranges the hair, but is a source ot' discomfort to the wearer.
It Will be seen in my improved hood the bag a forms a receptacle in which to deposit the hair, and that the cape b can be drawn tightly against the neck While the hair is allowed to hang loosely in its natural position Without being inthe least disarranged or cansing any annoyance to the wearer. I claim as my invention and'desire to secure by Letters Patent- A hood constructed substantially as dcscribed, so that there shall beat the back of 4the same a bag for the reception of the Wearers hair.
