BRICK-WORK CONSTRUCTION.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 415,772, dated November 26, 1889.
Application filed September 11, 1889- Serial No. 323,656. (No model-L.
portion of a building-front of brick work,
illustrating my invention.
It will be seen that the bricks are of different sizes, but are all rectangular, some, as A B, being equilateral, and some, as O I), being otherwise. They are put together or laid promiscuously, so as to present the appear ance in brick-work of what would be broken or irregular ashler in stone-work, and a building-front constructed in brick-work of this character presents a fine appearance.
Having thus fully described my invention,
what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
In the construction of brick-work, a collection of different-sized bricks of the shape of equilateral and non-equilateral rectangles used or laid together promiscuously, whereby the effect or appearance in brick-work is produced of irregular or broken ashler, substantially as described.
