SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 402,623, dated May v, 1889. Application led February 29, 1888. Serial No. 265,756. (No model.) Patented in England October 20, 1886, No. 13,874.

Beit known that I, EDWARD ASHTON SHARP,
residing at Epworth, in the'county of Lincoln, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Letter-Boxes, of which the following is a specification.
English Letters Patent No. 13,374, dated October 20, 1886, have been granted for this invention.
rIhe invention consists 'in the novel construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and claimed, whereby the safety of the contents of the letter-box is more fully assured.
In the drawings, Figure l is a vertical section through the letter-box, showing the sliding .receptacle lowered; and Fig. 2 is a similar view showing the receptacle raised.
