PIANO LAMP-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 401,064, dated April 9, 1889. Application filed'September 15, 1888. Serial No. 286,541. (No model.)
the mechanism illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is an end View of a section of a piano, with the lamp-holder as it appears from an end View, swung a little forward of the proper position when in use. Fig. 2 is a front view of a section of a piano, with the lampholder as it appears from a front View when in the proper position for use.

1. The combination, in a piano lamp-holder, of a disk, at, having a rim around the top and a groove inside of said rim, with a shade, e, inserted in said groove, all substantially as set forth.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that'I, LEwIs PRAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Portland, county of Cumberland, and State of Maine, have invented a new and useful Piano Lamp- Holder, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a lamp-holder for pianos.
The objects of my invention are, first, a
disk with a rim around the top, and having a groove inside of rim to receive apaper shade to protect the piano from the heat of the lamp; second, a rod running through one side of disk just inside of groove in the disk-rod, fastened to the disk with a collar-around the rod on the top of the disk, and a screw and washer on the bottom of the disk screwed into a rod running through the disk, allowing the disk to turn on the rod, the rod running to a coupling attached to a curved rod running over the top of the piano into asocket screwed 2.
