PlPE-TONGS.
S'PECIFIGATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 396,753, dated January 29, 1889.
Application filed May 15, 1888. Serial No. 273,967. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern..-
Be it known that we, ROBERT It MAGEE and FRED C. KNOWLES, citizens of the United States, residing at Oil City, in the county of Venango and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Pipe-Tongs; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to pipe-ton and it consists in an attachment therefor by which an ordinary pair of pipe-ton gs can be used for cutting pipe.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, as follows:
Figure 1 is a side elevation of an ordinary type of pipe-ton gs provided with the aforesaid attachment and fitted for cutting pipe. Fig. 2 is a perspective View of the jawwhen fitted for use as a cutter.

Figs. 1 and 2 clearly show the manner of applying the attachment B for use. It is obvious that other means than the exact clamp O, which is shown, may be used to secure the attachment B in place and allow it to be quickly and easily removed.
