To all whmn it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOSEPH KosTNER, of Munich, Germany, have invented a new Improvement in Billiard-Tables, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a billiard-table of reduced size, which is adapted to be placed on a table and which may be revolved, so that the players may remain seated.

The invention consists in the various features of the improvements more fully pointed out in the claim.

In the accompanyingdrawings, Figure A is a longitudinal section of myimproved billiard-table on line 00 as, Fig. B, some of the parts being shown in elevation. Fig. B is a bottom view, partly in horizontal section, of the same. Fig. 0 is a transverse section, partly in end view, on line y y, Fig. B. Fig. A is a detail side view of the central foot of the billiard; Fig. B, a section on line 2 2, Fig. A; and Fig. 0 a vertical central section, partly in side View, of Fig. A.

The numeral 12 designates the upper plate of a billiard-table, made of suitable material and provided with a downwardly-projecting central spindle, 1, having a conical point, which engages a central foot, 5. The spindle 1 is connected to plate 12 by means of abaseplate, 3, and it passes through a disk, 2, rigidly secured to the under side of such baseplate. Beneath the disk 2, and disconnected therefrom, is the stationary disk 4, having a downwardly-extending tubular projection, 4, for the reception of spindle 1, and screwtapped at its lower end to engage screwthreaded foot 5. The disk 2 is provided with a circular tongue or rib, 13, that engages a corresponding groove in the disk 4, and thusallows a rotation of disk 2 without permitting its displacement.

Tothe lower side of disk 4 are secured the curved feet 6, provided with setrscrews 8, by means of which the billiard-table maybe leveled. The set-screwsS are preferably padded with leather, as shown at 11.

9 9 are a pair of hand-levers pivoted to the tubular projections 4 and provided with toothed segments 9, that engage tooth-segments 9, placed opposite thereto. Upon the axis 9 of each hand-lever there is mounted a toothed wheel, 9, engaging the toothed head of a clamp-screw, 9, bearing against spindle 1. If either of the levers 9 is pressed down or raised, it will rotate wheel 9, and thus clamp or release the clamp-screw 9. At the same time the toothed segment 9 will rotate the segment 9 which, by means of its axis 9, will rotate toothed wheel 9 at the opposite side of spindle 1. Thus the clamp-screw 9 at such opposite side of the spindle is also revolved. 9 are the journals for the axes 9 The billiard-table should be provided with spirit-levels 10, as shown.

I claim as my invention The combination of table 12 with the disks 2 4, the latter having tubular extensions 4, and with the spindle 1, and with a pair of clamp-screws, 9 bearing against said spindle, and with a pair of levers, 9, pivoted to tubular extension 4*, and having toothed segments 9 and with toothed segments 9 engaged by said toothed segments 9, and with the toothed wheels 9, engaging clamp-screws 9 all being so constructed that if either of the levers 9 is operated both clamp-screws 9 will be rotated,

substantially as specified.
