IMPROVEMENT IN CU PBOARD-LATCH ES.
Sp'ecication forming part of Letters Patent No. 3,2, dated June 9, 1863.
T0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM B. Wans- WORTH, of Cleveland, in the county of Guyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Oupboard-Latches to. Fasten Cupboard-Doors, Ste.; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and clear description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and letters of reference marked thereon, in which the drawing is a view ot' the latch in operation.
In constructing I make a face-plate, A, With a slot through the center and a projection, B, on each side of said slot. I also make a knob, c, which can vary in shape, with a lattened shank, D, and hook E, and put it through the slot between the projections B, and put a pivot through at g, the slot in faceplate being long enough. to allow the shank D to move up and down freely. I make a hole in a cupboard-door, F, and put the shank D through the faceplate to hold it in place, at
pleasure.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The latch described, as a new article of manufacture.
