The air flow resistance in this slot 28 can be adjusted by raising or lowering the cap 22 so that an inner wall 20 thereof is adjusted to a variable distance from the upper edge of the socket 24 extending into the cap.
- a device for adjusting the air slot consists of a screw 32 with a circular guide head 34 for the inner ends of a number of levers 36, the outer ends of which are hingedly connected with the cap 22.

- An air-distributing device for ventilation plants for rooms comprising a casing having an inlet for pressurized air, a partition dividing the easing into a pressure chamber and a distribution chamber, a wall closing the distribution chamber and having a plurality of outlets therethrough, said partition having an opening therethrough, a tubular socket surrounding said opening and outstanding from said partition, a cap in alignment with said opening and having a peripheral wall that encompasses said tubular socket to form an annular air passage between said peripheral wall and said tubular socket, and means to adjust the position of the cap toward and away from the tubular socket to control a quantity of air passing from said pressure chamber through said opening and air passage thereby to obtain a uniform and symmetric distribution of the air to the distribution chamber and from the distribution chamber through said outlets to the room.
- An air outflow device as claimed in claim 1 in which the means for adjusting the air gap comprises of a screw with a guide head for the inner ends of a number of levers, the outer ends of which are hingedly connected with the peripheral wall of the cap.
- An air outflow device as claimed in claim 2 characterized in that the screw is screwed into a screwthreaded hole in a hub fixedly supported by arms fixedly mounted in the socket and themselves supporting bearings for the levers.
