Definitions

  • This invention relates to a corrector mechanism for day and date watches.
  • This mechanism, object of the present invention consists in particular in a sliding lever, on which pivots freely a corrector star which is in mesh with a corrector, whereby the latter is located coaxially to the aforesaid sliding lever.
  • the corrector is susceptible of being operated from the outside of the watch and that the whole mechanism is disposed in a manner that the corrector moves the sliding lever in the one or the other direction, according to the direction of rotation of the winding-shaft, to bring the corrector star in gear either with the date indicator or the day indicator.
  • the object of the present invention is a corrector mechanism for day and date watch, characterized by a sliding lever on which pivots freely a corrector star which is in gear with a corrector located coaxially to said sliding lever, said corrector being susceptible of being operated from the outside of the watch, the whole mechanism being disposed in a manner that, depending of the direction of rotation, the corrector moves the sliding lever in the one or the other direction and brings the corrector star in mesh either with the date indicator or with the day indicator.
  • FIG. 1 is a plan view of this embodiment.
  • FIG. 2 is a sectional view in a greater scale of the same embodiment following the line IIII in FIG. 1.
  • the winding-shaft 1 shows a male square 2 on which is slidingly fitted a clutch wheel 3 operated by a clutch lever 4.
  • a clutch wheel 3 operated by a clutch lever 4.
  • the clutch wheel 3 is in gear with a setting wheel 5 which is riveted on an axis 6, turning itself freely in a setting wheel lever 7.
  • a corrector setting wheel 8 which is in mesh with a corrector pinion 9.
  • This corrector pinion 9 is pivoted on a ridge of the calendar maintenance plate 10. On this pinion 9 is riveted a corrector 11 presenting four teeth 12 with a shape of lobes.
  • the corrector 11 presents a shoulder 13 on which is friction fitted, like a regulator, a sliding lever 14.
  • a slit 15 is made in the axis of the lever 14, in vicinity of the shoulder 13.
  • An axis 16 is riveted on the sliding lever 14 and a corrector star 17 is fitted freely rotatible on this axis 16.
  • the corrector star 17 is susceptible to be operated by the corrector 11.
  • the displacement of the sliding lever 14 is limited by the circular arched entries 18 which are cut out on the calendar maintenance plate 10 and on the corrector bridge 19 respectively, the extremities of the axis 16 being engaged in these entries 18.
  • a metal foil 20 is disposed between the corrector bridge 19 and the corrector star 17, to avoid that, during the working of the watch, the corrector star 17 enters inopportunely in gear with the date indicator 21 or the star 22 for the day indication.
  • the date indicator 2] is constituted by a disk with internal toothing 23 and its exact angular position is assured by a not shown jumper.
  • the position of the star 22 for the day indication is also guaranteed by a jumper 24.
  • the reference numeral represents a pawl making sure the step for step movement of the star 22, each 24 hours.
  • the star 22 is freely adjusted on the cannon of the not represented hour wheel.
  • the pillar plate is designed by the reference numeral 26.
  • the winding-shaft 1 is turned in a way that the setting wheels 5 and 8 rotate in clockwise direction, as it is indicated by the arrow in FIG. 1.
  • the setting wheel 8 turns the corrector pinion 9 in counter clockwise direction.
  • the corrector 11 is riveted on the pinion 9 and rotates in the same direction and it moves the sliding lever 14 also in counter clockwise direction of the FIG. 1, because the lever 14 is adjusted with fit friction on the corrector ll.
  • the axis 16 approaches the calendar disk 21 and the corrector star 17 enters in gear with the toothing 23 of the calendar disk 21.
  • the rotation of the corrector 11 is transmitted to the corrector star 17 and to the calendar disk 21, in a manner that the date indication can be changed one or more steps.
  • the process is the same for the correction of the day indication.
  • the sliding lever 14 moves then in the clockwise direction of FIG. 1 and its movement is limited by the fact that the axis 16 arrives at the extremity of the entries 18.
  • the corrector star 17 enters in gear with the day star 22.
  • the rotation of the corrector 11 is transmitted to the corrector star 17 and to the day star 22, so that the star 22 can be turned one or more steps.
  • the teeth of the corrector star 17 touch the teeth of the corrector l1 and by its first step, due to the normal working of the watch, the star 22 repulses the sliding lever 14 away from the center of the watch movement. Because of the metal foil 20 the corrector star 17 stays in this position, in which its teeth are not in gear with the calendar disk nor the day star 22.
  • a corrector mechanism for day and date watch characterized by a rotatable lever (14) on which pivots freely a corrector star (17) which is in gear with a corrector (11) located coaxially to said rotatable lever (14), said corrector (11) being susceptible of being operated by a winding-shaft from the outside of the watch, the whole mechanism being disposed in a manner that, depending on the direction of rotation of the winding-shaft the corrector (11) moves the rotatable lever (14) in the one or the other direction and brings the corrector star (17) in mesh either with the date indicator (21) or with the day indicator (22).
  • Mechanism according to claim 1 characterized in that the corrector (11) presents several teeth (12) with a shape of lobes.
  • Mechanism according to claim 1 characterized in that the corrector 11) presents a shoulder (13) on which is adjusted with friction fit, like a regulator, the rotatable lever 14).
  • Mechanism according to claim 1 characterized in that the axis (16) of the corrector star (17) is engaged in two entries (18) of the frame, in a manner to limit the amplitude of moving of the rotatable lever (14).
  • Mechanism according to claim 1 characterized in that a metal foil (2) is located between the corrector star l7) and the frame in view to avoid that, during the working of the watch, the corrector star (17) enters inopportunely in gear with the date indicator (21) or the wheel (22) for the day indication.
  • Mechanism according to claim 1 characterized in that the corrector (11) is rigid with a corrector pinion (9) engaged in rotation by a corrector setting wheel (8), this latter being susceptible to be operated by the winding-shaft (1).
