Beitknown thatLWILLIAMVoGT, of Louis- 1 ville, in the county of Jefferson, in the State of Kentucky,haveinvented a new and Improved Mode of Fastening Shirt-Buttons; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and `exact description thereof, reference being had "to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. 'The nature of my invention consists in mal;-`

What I claim as my invention, anddesire to secure by Letters Patent, is not the action the spring and lever, but its application to shirt-buttons composed of two parts, thereby prevent-ing them from getting lost and facilitating the iixingof them.
