Beit known that I, CHARLES O. BAXTER, of the city of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented a certain new and useful In1- provement in Signs, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, and in which- Figure l is a side or face view. Fig. 2 is a transverse section taken on line 2 2, Fig. l.

Myinvention relates to a small hanging sign; and it consists in a body of wood having composition faces with advertising letters or words cast integral therewith and in relief, as more fully described-hereinafter.

In Letters Patent No. 306,462, issued October 14,1884, I claim an advertising-picture or'showcard frame having descriptive letters or words and ornamental or fanciful designs, said letters or words and designs being cast integral with th'e substance of ,the face of the frame. It is such a f aceas this which I have applied to a sign.
