To enable others skilled in'the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to de-- scribe its construction and operation.

The handle F is intended 'to have such prominence that it constitutes the most ready and evident means by which the window may be raised or lowered. Any person therefore (whether familiarwith the nature of the con trivance vor not) in `applying a hand to the knob to raise or lower the sash retracts the bolts, thus rendering it free to move, and. on the withdrawal of the hand the bolts automatically secure the sash in any position in which it may have been placed.'
