GRADING AND DITCHING MACHINE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 327,740, dated October 6, 1885.

Application filed April 6. 1885.

Be it known that I, BENJAMIN Tomas, of Vashington, county of Tazewell, Illinois, have invented a new and Improved Grading and Ditching Machine, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

The invention consists in the construction and arrangement of parts, as will be hereinafter fully described, and specifically set forth in the claim.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all the figures.

Figure 1 is aside elevation of a grading and ditching machine with my improvement applied, the bucket-wheel being removed; and Fig. 2 is a cross sectional view showing the knife \V and the bucket-wheel in their re1ative arrangement.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The combination, with the box A, of the wheels F G, the latter having buckets, and of the knife V, secured to the box at the inner side of the wheel G, substantially as herein shown and described.
