In combination with an elongated generally rectangular blade dispensing magazine having top, bottom and side walls and being adapted to receive a stack of new blades disposed therein with the uppermost bade in the stack being adapted to be pushed endwise into shaving position in the head of an associated razor, a separate elongated generally rectangular used blade receiver of open-top box-like formation in telescopic association with the magazine, the bottom wall of the receiver being spaced a substantial distance below the bottom wall of the magazine whereby to provide a compartment for the reception of used blades, the upper portions of the side and end walls of the receiver embracing the side walls and ends of the magazine with the upper edges of the receiver being substantial'y ilush with the upper edge of the magazine, the bottom wall of said receiver being provided with an opening through which used blades .are adapted to be inserted into said compartment, and means for securing the receiver to the magazine comprising a pair of snuck-in vertically spaced tangs formed on each end wall of the receiver and disposed in interlocking engagement with the front and rear edges of the bottom wall of the magazine.
3. In combination with an elongated generally rectangular blade dispensing magazine having top, bottom and side Walls and being adapted to receive a stack of new blades disposed therein with the uppermost blade in the stack being adapted to be pushed endwise into shaving position in the head of an associated razor, a separate elongated generally rectangular used blade receiver of open-top box-like formation in -telescopic association with the magazine, the bottom wall of the receiver being spaced a substantial distance below the bottom wall of the magazine whereby to provide a compartment for vthe reception of used blades, the upper portions of the side and end walls of the receiver embracing the side walls and ends of the magazine with the upper edges of the receiver being substantially tiush with the upper edge of the magazine, 4the bottorn Wall of said receiver being provided with an opening through which used blades are Vadapted to be inserted into said compartment, and means securing the receiver to the magazine comprising a pair of struck-in vertically spaced tangs formed on each end Wall of the receiver and disposed in interlocking engagement with the front and rear edges of the bottom wall of the magazine, one tang of each pair extending downwardly into engagement with the upper surface of the bottom lwall of the magazine at the front and rear edges thereof and the other tang of each pair extending upwardly into engagement with the lower surface of the bottom wall of the magaf zine at the front and rear edges thereof.
4. In combination with a blade dispensing magazine having top, bottom and side walls and a stack of new blades disposed therein with the uppermost blade in the stack being adapted to be pushed endwise into shaving position in the head of an associated razor, a separate used blade receiver having side walls, end walls and a bottom wall telescopically fitted over the magazine from the bottom thereof with the upper edges of the side and end walls of the receiver substantially flush with the upper surface of the magazine, said side and end walls of said receiver being substantially greater in height than the side walls of the magazine whereby the bottom wall of the receiver is spaced substantially below the bottom Wall of the magazine so as to provide a compartment for the reception of used blades, the bottom wall of the receiver being provided with an opening through which used blades are adapted to be inserted into said compartment, and struck-in vertically disposed tangs on opposite walls of the receiver in interlocking engagement with the upper and lower surfaces of opposite edges of the bottom wall of the magazine whereby to secure the receiver to the magazine.
5. In combination with a blade dispensing magazine having top, bottom and side Walls and a stack of new blades disposed therein with the uppermost blade in the stack being adapted to be pushed endwise into shaving position in the head of an associated razor, a separate used blade receiver having side walls, end walls and a bottom wall telescopically fitted over the magazine from the bottom thereof with the upper edges of the side and end walls of the receiver substantially iiush with the upper surface of the magazine, said side and end walls of said receiver being substantially greater in height than the side walls of the magazine whereby the bottom wall of the receiver is spaced substantially below the bottom wall of the magazine so as to provide a cornpartment for the reception of used blades, the bottom wall of the receiver being provided with an opening through which used blades are adapted to be inserted into said compartment, a struck-in upwardly extending tang on each end wall of the receiver in abutting engagement with the lower surface of the bottom wall of the magazine at the front and rear edges thereof whereby to position the upper edges of the side and end walls of the receiver substantially ush with the upper surface of the magazine, and a struck-in downwardly extending tang on each end wall of the receiver in abutting engagement with the upper surface of the bottom wall of the magazine at the front and rear edges thereof whereby to secure the receiver to the magazine.

In combination with an elongated generally rectangular blade dispensing magazine having top, bottom and side walls and being adapted to have a stack of new blades disposed therein with the uppermost blade in the stack being adapted to be pushed endwise into shaving position in the head of an associated razor, a separate elongated generally rectangular used blade receiver of open-top box-like formation in telescopic association with the magazine, the bottom wall of the receiver being spaced a substantial distance below the bottom wall of the magazine whereby to provide a compartment for the reception of used blades, the upper portions of the side and end Walls of the receiver embracing the side walls and ends of the magazine with the end walls extending vertically past the front and rear edges of the bottom wall of the magazine, the bottom wall of said receiver being provided with an opening through which used blades are adapted to be inserted into said compartment, and vertically spaced means on the end walls of the receiver directed inwardly thereof into interlocking engagement with the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom wall of the magazine at the front and rear edges thereof for securing the receiver to the magazine.

In' combination with a blade dispensing magazine having top, bottom and side walls and being adapted to have a stack of new blades disposed therein with the uppermost blade in the stack being adapted to be pushed endwise into shaving position in the head of an associat-v ed razor, a separate used blade receiver having side walls, end walls and a bottom walltelescopically iitted over the magazine from the bottom thereof with said end Walls extending vertically past the front and rear edges of the bottom wall of the magazine, said side and end ment, the upper portions of the side walls of the receiver being substantially coextensive with the side walls of the magazine, in closely conforming engagement with the latter, and means for positioning and securing the used blade receiver with respect to the new blade magazine, said means including longitudinally spaced inturned tabs on the receiver, which tabs abut upwardly against the 4underside of the bottom Wall of the magazine, and one or more apertures in the upper portion of one of the side Walls of the receiver, which apertures receive and interlock vertically with the outwardly projecting studs on the side wail of the magazine.
13. The combination with an elongated generally rectan gular new blade dispensing magazine, which magazine is adapted to hold a stack of new blades, is provided with means for access to the uppermost blade in the stack to push the same endwise out of the magazine into shaving position in the head of an associated razor, and is provided with at least one stud which projects outwardly therefrom; of a structurally separate eiongated generally rectangular used blade receiver of open-top box-like formation having bottom, side `and end walls, said magazine being telescoped into the upper portion of said blade receiver, with the bottom wall of the receiver spaced from the magazine to provide a compartment for the reception of used blades, one wall of said receiver being provided with an opening through which used blades are adapted to be inserted into said compartment, the upper portions of the side walls of the receiver substantially over-lapping side portions of the magazine and having at least a portion thereof in closely conforming engagement with the latter, and means for positioning and Securing the used blade receiver with respect to the new bl-ade magazine, said means including at least one tab on the receiver adapted to engage said magazine thereby to prevent substantial relative movement therebetween and at least one aperture in the upper portion of one of said walls of the receiver, said aperture receiving and interlocking with said outwardly projecting stud on said magazine to preclude substantial relative movement therebetween.

In combination with a new blade dispensing means having .a magazine adapted to hold and dispense new blades, and a used blade receiving means attached to said new blade dispensing means, said used blade receiving means being of box-like form having a plurality of walls including side, end and bottom walls, and an open top which is closed olf by telescoping said magazine therein whereby said side and end walls of said'used blade receiving means embrace at least a portion of said magazine, means for positioning said magazine in spaced relation relative to the bottom wall of said used blade receiving means thereby to form a used blade receiving compartment, said positioning means including a deformed portion on one wall of said used blade receiving means adapted for engagement with said magazine, at least one lug means formed on said new blade dispensing means, said lug means projecting through at least one aperture formed in one of said walls of said used blade receiving means to assist in attaching said used blade receiving means to said new blade dispensing means, and an opening in one of said walls of said used blade receiving means cornmunicating with said used blade compartment to permit used blades to be inserted therein.
15. The combination of Claim 14 wherein said used blade receiving means is formed of sheet material which is relatively thin to permit folding thereof for placement around said magazine.

Claims (1)
14. IN COMBINATION WITH A NEW BLADE DISPENSING MEANS HAVING A MAGAZINE ADAPTED TO HOLE AND DISPENSE NEW BLADES, AND A USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS ATTACHED TO SAID NEW BLADE DISPENSING MEANS, SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS BEING OF BOX-LIKE FORMED HAVING A PLURALITY OF WALLS INCLUDING SIDE, END AND BOTTOM WALLS, AND A OPEN TOP WHICH IS CLOSED OFF BY TELESCOPING SAID MAGAZINE THEREIN WHEREBY SAID SIDE AND END WALLS OF SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS EMBRACE AT LEAST A PORTION OF SAID MAGAZINE, MEANS FOR POSITIONING THE MAGAZINE IN SPACED RELATION RELATIVE TO THE BOTTOM WALL OF SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS THEREBY TO FORM A USED BLADE RECEIVING COMPARTMENT, SAID POSITIONING MEANS INCLUDING A DEFORMED PORTION ON ONE WALL OF SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS ADAPTED FOR ENGAGEMENT WITH SAID MAGAZINE, AT LEAST ONE LUG MEANS FORMED ON SAID NEW BLADE DISPENSING MEANS, SAID LUG MEANS PROJECTING THROUGH AT LEAST ONE APERTURE FORMED IN ONE OF SAID WALLS OF SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS TO ASSIST IN ATTACHING SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS TO SAID NEW BLADE DISPENSING MEANS, AND AN OPENING IN ONE OF SAID WALL OF SAID USED BLADE RECEIVING MEANS COMMUNICATING WITH SAID USED BLADE COMPARTMENT TO PERMIT USED BLADES TO BE INSERTED THEREIN.
