IMPROVEMENT IN PLOWS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent N0. 3 l,l94, dated January 22, 1861.

I To all whom it may concern.;

Be it known that I, JEREMIAH SWErrZER, of Mishawaka, county of St. Joseph, and State ot' Indiana, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in Plows; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and complete description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nature ot' my invention consists in the arrangement ofthe several parts ofthe plow, as hereinafter set forth.

Figure l is a side view ofthe plow.

Fig. 2 is a plan showing the position of the beam B and the landside b, by which it will be f seen that the beam is straight with the landside, and consequently makes a straight draft. In the same figure ois the bent standard, and o the brace upon which the land-side handle rests.

Fig. 3 represents the position ofthe handle a and brace c c, the brace o c having a flange,

the standard o is strengthened, and the rubbish allowed to escape without clogging.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The arrangement of the beam B, handles a c, landside b, standard o, and brace c c with i flange s, the whole constructed as and for the purposes set forth.
