Description

( o ModeL) 'W. J. MULLEN.
SHADE ROLLER HANGBR.. No. 800,108. I 8 Patented June 10, 1884.
I I. 0 i BY ATTORNEYS,
KJNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
VILLIAM J. MULLEN, OF NEW YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO FRANK GEORGE GOLLON, OF HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY.
SHADE-ROLLER HANGER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 300,108, dated June 10, 1884.-
Application filed April 3, 1884. (No model.) 7
To CLZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM J. MU LEN, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented anew and Improved Shade- Roller Hanger, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
The object of my invention isto provide a new and improved shade-roller hanger in which the said roller can be hung very easily and rapidly.
The invention consists in the combination, with a disk or plate provided with a screw on its upper surface and lugs on its lower surface, of a hanger pivoted between the jaws, and provided at its free end with a socket for receiving the end pin of a shade-roller.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all the figures.
Figure 1 is a face view of ashade having its roller hung in my improved shade-roller hangers. Fig. 2 is a side view of one of my improved shadc-roller hangers provided with a squared socket. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional elevation of the same. Fig. 4. is a side view of one of my improved shade-roller hangers provided with a circular socket. Fig. 5 is alongitudinal sectional elevation of the same.
A circular or like plate or disk, A, is provided on its upper surface with a screw, B, and on its under surface with two jaws or lugs, 0, between which a hanger, D, is pivoted. The said hanger is provided on the lower end with a squared or angular socket, E, open at the top, or with a circular socket, F. The screw 13 is screwed into the top piece, G, of a window-frame, H, so that the upper surface of the said plate will rest against the under surface of the said cross-piece, as shown in Fig. 1. One hanger is secured at such end of the cross-piece G on one of the hangers, being provided with the angular socket E and the other with a circular socket, F. The squared pin of a roller, J, is passed into the socketE, and the round pin is passed into the circular socket F. The hangers D can be swung in the direction toward the interior of the room, to place the pins of the roller in the hangers. Placing the roller in the hangers is thus greatly facilitated. The roller can be a spring-roller of any suitable construction.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. The combination, with a disk or plate having a screw on its upper surface and lugs or jaws on the under surface, of a hanger for receiving the pins of a curtain-roller pivoted between the said jaws or lugs, substantially as herein shown and described.
2. The combination, with the plate or disk A, having a screw, B, on its upper surface and lugs G on its lower surface, of the hanger D, pivoted between the lugs, which hanger is provided with a socket at its free end, substantially as herein shown and described.
VM. J. MULLEN.
