- the fog outlet pipe could be designed to accommodatethe head of a so-called aerosol reservoir, the outlet of the latter being adjustable by a rotary movement. It would also be possible to provide the fog outlet pipe with an injector having interchangeable nozzles so that agents, dyes and the like can be added.
- An advantage of the present device resides in the fact that it can be carried by a single person and that it is highly efficient in that an embodiment having a dead weight of approximately 18 lbs. and a fuel consumption of approximately 11 lbs. of water and oil each will fog .04 mile per hour.

- a device for the generation of artificial fog comprising a first inner hollow cylinder including spaced cylindrical walls forming a first chamber, a second outer hollow cylinder including spaced cylindrical walls forming a second chamber arranged in spaced coaxial relationship relative to said first hollow cylinder, combustion means including a source of heat for heating gases below said first chamber and said second chamber, a first defiecting member for the heating gases from said combustion means at the upper end of the said first and second chambers and overlying said first and second hollow cylinders a second deliecting member for the heating gases at the lower end of said first and second chambers, a jacket coaxial with the said first and second hollow cylinders forming a first annular space around the said second hollow cylinder, said second defiecting member extending between said jacket and said first hollow cylinder, a second annular space being formed between the said first hollow cylinder and the said second hollow cylinder, said first defiecting member deflecting the heating into said second annular space, said second defiecting member deflecting heating gases passing
