SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 292,798, dated February 5, 1884.
Application filed November 8, L983. (No model.) 7
9 all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LoUIs F. FALLON, of the city of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented a new and useful Toy, which is fully described in the following specification.
This invention consists'i n artificial roosters so. combined with strings and a frame made for the purpose that a perfect imitation of a cock-fight may be had. 1
The drawing shows a perspective view of my invention. 7
To obtain this result, a small sticksay fifteen inches longis transversely fastened to the end of another longer stick, so as to form a figure resembling the letter T. At the junction of the two sticks, on the under side, is a small ring about half an inch in diameter. To each end of the smaller stick are attached two strings about a foot long, which hang so as to describe two semicircles Whose diameter is about eight inches, and, after passing through the string from the outside, are united and tied to a single long string. To the middle of each string are fastened roosters facing each other.
Theseroosters maybe made ofwood or other material covered'with feathers, and a small piece of red flannel for the comb, or imported Chinese roosters may be used.
I do not limit myself to making the toys invariably of the sizes above given, which were intended merely for the purpose of showing about the proportions.
To operate the toy, the long stick is held in the left hand, and the string which is formed L. F. FALLON. Witnesses:
