SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 288,797, dated November 20, 1883.

, Be it known that we, J osnrn V. HARTMAN and ALBERT Wn'rznL, J r., both of Linwood, Hamilton county, Ohio, have jointly invented a new and useful Improvement in Oar-Couplings, of which the following is a specification.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 shows (by side elevation of one and vertical section of the other) two draw-heads embodying our invention. These heads being of identical construction, the same description of parts is applicable to both. Fig. 2 shows a modification of the liftercam and spring.
