BLACKING-Box HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 283,428, dated August 21, 1883.

Be it known that I, CHARLES E. SKINNER, a eitizen of the lUnited States, residing in the city of Yonkers, in the county of W'estohester i 5 and State of New York, have invented certain 15 of blaeking-boxes, and to prevent soiling the` fingers when using the saine. 4

The operation of inserting the box is as follows: The Wire B is slipped over the lng b and 3 turned to the right till it is in the position shown in the dotted lines in Fig. 2. The Wire and box are then pushed back till the rim of the box presses 3 against the lng o, when the Wire is sprung over the lug b, holding the box :tirinlyin place.
