be more fully described herein- 1 The object of my invention is to provide a simple and cheap fastening for bed-posts, and which will prevent the parts from having either any endwise or lateral motion.

Having thus described my invention, 1 claim- The combination of the post, the side rail,

and the casting, which is formedin two parts, with the dovetail G,which is formed upon the castings, and the clamp by which the parts are held rigidly together, substantially as shown.
