A cosmetics container ofthe character described, comprising: a main body section; a platform positioned in said main body section; Va double-sided mirror hinged to said platform; a spring for biasing said mirror to approximately a 90 open position with respect to said platform; a latch for maintaining said mirror in closed position with respect to said platformga pair ofwcovers for said main body section, one of said covers having a portionoverlapping the other; vand'means for `holding said overlapping cover in closed position. comprising: a body section having a cavity therein dis posed for thereception of a lipstick container; a platform positioned in said body section adjacent saidpcavity; a pair of hinged covers for said body section, one ofvsaid covers. having Va portion overlapping the other; biasing meansfor swinging said covers outwardly; and a single latch operably associated with said overlapping cover, Ywhereby said single latch retains `hoth'covers in closed position.y

A cosmetics compact of the character described, comprising: a body section styled in the form of Ya conr-v ven'tionaliigure, said body section having a cylindricalv cavity therein disposed for the reception of a lipstick container; Ya platform positioned in said body section adjacent said cavity; a pair of hinged covers for said bodyY section, one of said covers having a portion over lapping therothrer; biasing means for swinging said covers outwardly; and only a single latch for securing said overlapping cover in closed position, whereby said single latch retains both covers in closed position.
