Fig. at is a perspective view of it, showing its sustaining-leg.
It is intended for the holding and display of cartridges of medicaments, lozenges, or various other matters; and it consists of a shallow box-body provided with a cartridge-holding partition extending across it parallel to and a short distance above its bottom, and such partition having in it two or other suitable number of series of rectangular openings or slots, each of such slots being of a size to receive and fit closely to a cartridge, in order to firmly hold it in place in the box-body when the latter is inclined or set up on one end of it in a position to show or display the cartridges to advantage. Besides such partition, the box-bod y has a leg, 0, pivoted to the under side of its bottom, the said leg when turned out into an acute angle with the body serving to sustain it when in an inclined position. The figures represent the box-body without a cover, it usually being supplied with one. In constructing the partition I generally form in it two ranges or series of the cartridge-receivin g openings, with a wide space between such ranges to receive a printed statement or directions or explanations relating to the contents of the cartridges, their manner of use, 800., and I also have a space in advance of the said two series of openings to receive another printed statement, all being as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- 7 Adenotes thebox-body; B, thepartition; O, the leg; at a, the two series of rectangular openings for reception of cartridges b, the advertising-spaces between and that above the openings being shown at c and d. The bottom of the box-body I generally cover with red or some other bright-colored paper or background, 0, to attract attention when seen through any of the openings void of cartridges.
What I claim is- A cartridge show-box consisting of a box, body, A, having the inner surface of its bottom lined with paper a, and having in the box, over the lining and parallel therewith, a partition, B, provided with cartridge-holding openings (1 and with advertising-spaces o d, the box being adapted to be supported on one end and by the leg 0, and all being substantially as shown and described.
