This invention relates to new and useful improvements in containers, and more specifically to a multi-chambered container.

It is frequently desirable and useful to have in the home, oflice or factory, or in the car, or about the person in a handy pocket size, a container having many internal sections or chambers each capable of containing liquids, ground material such as condiments, or articles of various kinds. In some cases, a multiple container is more convenient when one or more of the sections that are not in use, can be nested in or about the other sections, reducing the space that the device occupies.

It is my object to provide a multi-chamberecl container capable of holding liquids in certain compartments, and articles of common use in other compartments, such as oil, cleaning fluid or a solvent and a brush, wad or cleaning patch to service fire arms, typewriters, household appliances and various types of machinery.

Another object is to provide a structure in the container that will be capable of containing and securing a brush therein, or a similar element, such as, wads, cleaning patches or oil rods.

Still another object is to provide a special kind of long-handled brush with the device.

Another object is to design the structure so that the brush is easily attached to and removed from the container.

Another object is to provide a container of more limited application having, among other features, a nozzle secured to one of the caps in the container.

Another object is to provide a container having a plurality of compartments wherein the number of compartments available for use may be reduced or enlarged by telescopically mounting at least one compartment on or in another of said compartments.

I attain these and other objects by providing a container comprised of two elements, one ele ment having an open side and being so formed as to permit the smaller element to be inserted in the larger one through the open side. This insertion can be made reversely, that is to say, the smaller element may be inserted with either of two opposite sides foremost. The container is provided with three chambers in its extended position and two in its telescoped position. Openings in the chambers are provided with caps, one of the caps having a brush attached to its under side by hook and eye interlocking means.

Other objects and features of my container will appear as the specification proceeds.

Referring to the drawings in more detail, in the form of my invention shown in Figures 1 to 6 inclusive, the container I5 has a plurality of internal chambers I6 each having an opening Il. A cap I8 closes one of the openings. Another cap I9 has a nozzle '20 attached to its upper surface (see Figure 1). Another cap 2| has a brush 22 secured to the under surface of the cap by coasting interlocking means 23. In still another form of cap 25, the brush 22 is secured to a thong 2i: which is passed over a hook 21 attached to the under surface of the cap. This thong 26 makes it possible to draw the brush through the barrel of a firearm when cleaning. Another form of brush 28 (see Figures 5 and 6) is comprised of two brushes 29 and 30, joined by a pin hinge 3I, a sleeve 32 being adapted to slide over the hinge to hold it in extended position (see Figure 6). The pin hinge 3| may act as an attaching means and is adapted to coact with the attaching means on the underside of the cap 2! securing the brush to the cap. The two brushes 29 and 30 have brushing means of different types, the brush 29 having long, soft bristles, and the brush 30 having short, still, tufted bristles. When the handle is locked in extended 3 position, it is of sufiicient length to insure manipulatability.

In the form of my invention shown in Figures 7 to 9 inclusive, the container 34 is comprised of a large container 35 and a small container 36. The larger container 35 has an open end 31 through which the smaller container 36 can be inserted with either of two sides of the smaller container foremost (see Figures 8 and 9). Coacting interlocking means 38nremovab1yrjomthe two containers whichever of the 'twosidesof the smaller element enters first.

In the form of my invention shown in Figures 10 and 11, the container 39 is arectang-ularwin cross-section and has box-like compartments, rectangular openings 4|, and-inectaingular' covers 42 to close the openings.
