It will be noted that, as will be clear in Fig. 2, the parts are so pro- In the accompanying drawing, in which is 5 portioned that when the shank 24 of the collar button is at the upper end of the slot in the end member, the head 26 of the collar button fits more or less snugly inthe curved portion 32 of the device, to thereby utilize the head of the collar button as a means to prevent undue deflection of the supporting member l8 when the device is in use.
It may be mentioned that the supporting member I8 will'function equally well with a removable collar stud wvhose'metal stejm; corresponds to the filar stem 24 andwhosebutto'n head corresponds to the collar button 26, so that hereable or a fixed collar button.
The supporting member I8 is connected-to the-'-' attachin member i6 b verse ben 32-inte-.

Said intermediate portion serves topush the body of the-knotiupward and forwardzandthus makes the knotappear. as full as'desired. ACCOI-dr. ingly, the curvatureofthis portionzmay'be altered tomake theknot look larger or smaller.
- The; foreportion 38 serves to control the angle at whichthetie extendsfromthe collar bandas well ,as to, provide. the main support, for the slip knot; Theangle which this portion makes with the plane of the legs 20,- 22 may also be varied to conformto stylish demands. As various possible embodiments might be made of ,the, aboyc invention, and as various changes mightbe made in the embodiment above set forth, it is to be understood that all matter herein set forth orv showninthe accompanying drawing is to b interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.
Having thus desoribed myinvention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters'Patent:
