An object of the invention is to provide a scaffold of the character described which may be made of six pieces of wood and two fillers, and 1 which shall be strong and durable and which be collapsed and set up easily. I r v A further object of this invention is to pro;-

vide a triangular scaffold of the character de "scribed, which maybe used Side by side to support a catwalk or one above the other, which comes in contact with the wall.
Yet another object of this invention is to provide a strong and durable scaffold of the character described which shall be relatively inexpensive to manufacture, .easy to assemble, and yet practical and efiicient to a high degree in use.
Other objects of this invention will in part be obvious and in part hereinafter pointed out.
The invention accordingly consists in the fea-' tures of construction, combinations of elements, and arrangement of parts which will be exemplified in the construction hereinafter described, and of which the scope of application will be indicated in the following-claims.
In the accompanying drawing in which is shown one of the various possible illustrative embodiments of this invention,

Interconnecting the forward ends of members I4, I5 with the lower end of member II are a pair of parallel boards I9 contacting the outer faces of members I5 and II. The upper and lower ends of members I9 are flush with the upper edges, of members I4, I5, and of the rear face of member II, respectively.
There is further provided a pair of parallel braces 20 interconnecting vertical member II with members I4, I5. Members 20 are parallel to members I9, and contact the outer faces of vertical member I I, at their lower ends, and the outer faces of filler members I5 at their upper ends. Filler members I5 are perferably formed with shallow grooves I5a to receive portions of members 29, and member II is likewise formed with Fig. 1 is a perspective View of a scaffold em- 7 Fig. 4 is aside elevational view showing a pair of scaffolds used one above the other.
Referring now in detail to the drawing, I0,
designates a triangular scaffold embodying the invention. The same comprises a vertical board or piece of wood II. The piece II has a horizontal and forwardly inclined upper edge Ila, and a forwardly and upwardly inclined lower edge I Ib. Said piece I I is formed with a mortise groove I2 at the top thereof midway between the side faces of said piece.
Received in said mortise is the rear end I3 of a horizontal piece I4 preferably of hardwood, Norway or Southern Yellow Pine of clear straight grained stock. This piece is placed edgewise in the mortise I2 of the vertical piece II which comes in direct flat contact with the wall or building to which the scaffold is attached. It must sustain the required number of workmen and material, it being understood however that similar grooves 20a to receive portions of members 20. The lower end edges of members 29 are flush with the rear edge of member I I. The upper end edges of members 20 are flush with the upper edges of members I 4, I5.
Member I4 is attached to member II by a plurality of bolts 25 provided withwing nuts. Members I4, I5 are attached to the upper ends of I members I8 by bolts 26 provided with wing nuts.
The lower ends of members I9 are fixed to the lower end of member I I by a plurality of bolts 21 provided with wing nuts. I
The upper and lower ends of members 20 are attached to members I4, I5 and I I respectively by bolts 29 and 30 also provided with wing nuts.
By removing the bolts aforementioned, all the parts of the scaffold can be collapsed.
An additional diagonal strut or brace 40 may be provided if desired. This brace may extend from the upper rear corner, downwardly and forwardly and be attached to members and I9 in any suitable manner.
In Fig. 4 a pair of scaffolds are shown one above the other with a cleat 42 therebet-ween.
It will thus be seen that there is provided a device in which the several objects of this invention are achieved and which is well adapted to meet the conditions of practical use.
As various possible embodiments might be made of the above invention, and as various means to attach the upper end of the 'vertical member to the rear end of the horizontal member,-
a pair of filler boards on opposite 'sides ofsaid horizontal member, a pair of parallel, forwardly and upwardly inclined boards extending from the having a mortise at its upper end, a horizontal member having the rear end received in said mortise and extending forwardly therefrom, means to attach the upper end of the vertical member to'the rear end of the horizontal member, a pair of filler boards on opposite sides of said horizontal member, a pair of parallel, forwardly and upwardly inclined boards extending from the lower end of said vertical member to the forward ends of manner and contacting the outer faces of said -'vert1'ca-l" member and filler members, respectively, means to attach the upper ends of said inclined boards to the horizontal member and filler boards, means to attach said inclined boards to said vertical board,
