CIGAR-LIGHTER LAMP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 232,058, dated September 7, 1880.
Application filed July 2,1880. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT PA'IITZ, of West Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Improvement in Cigar-Lighter Lamps; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawin gs and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in-- Figure 1, a sectional front View; Fig. 2, a top View of the bracket-arms.
This invention relates to an improvementin the construction of that class of ciganlighter lamps which are provided with alcohol-fount or taper-receiver at each side the body of the lamp; and the invention consists in the construction as l'iereinafter described, and particularly recited in the claim.
A represents the lower partof the base, and B the upper part, with a division between to receive the bracket D. The lampfount C is arranged upon the upper section. D is the lighter-receiver bracket, which. is constructed with an opening, (I, through its center, so as to set onto the shoulder aof the lower part of the base and to receive the lower end, 11, of the upper part.
From the fount a bolt, E, extends down through the two parts of the base and the bracketarms, and provided with a nut, e, at the bottom, so that the parts are bound together, the upper and lower part of the base grasping the bracket-arms between them, so as to hold them firmly. Each of the arms D is provided with the lighter-receivers F.
This invention simplifies the construction of the lamp, and makes the connection between the lighter-receiver and the base very light and tasteful, at the same time very firm and strong.
I claim- A cigar-lighter lamp having the bracketarms D, arranged and supported between the two sections of the base, and means, substantially such as specified, for securing the parts together, all substantially as described.
