1 Claim.
This invention relates t-o a brush hook, and comprises means for suspending a brush, for example, of paint brushes.
An important feature of this invention, is the forming of the hook element from the bristle binder of the brush, in which the cost of production is little or nothing as it is done at the time of the forming the binder.
Other features of my invention Will appear as the description proceeds in the following specification, accompanied by the annexed drawing, in which Figure 1 is a perspective vieW showing the paint brush suspended by my attachment within and onto a pail, can or bucket containing paint or the like,
Figure 2 is a cross sectional view taken on line 2-2 of Figure 1, with the brush and my brush attachment shown in full.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of brush and hook element formed from the bristle binder.
Referring to the drawing, particularly to Figures 1, 2 and 3, numeral l indicates a pail, can or bucket holding paint, Whtewash or other similar substances P, which in general practice has been mixed by the painter and lled to about onethird of the pail, as shown in Figure 2.
A paint brush B, provided with the usual handle 2, bristles or the like 3, and the metal or bristle binder 4, is shown having a hook element 5 formed therefrom.
In Figure 3, the brush B is shown in perspective, in which nails may or may not be used adjacent the cut opening where the hook element is formed from the binder.
I claim:
In a bristle binder for brushes of the character described, said bristle binder provided'with hooklike portion formed integrally therewith. said bristle binder adapted to be secured to the handle of the brush, and for securing the bristles of a brush, said integral hook-like portion adapted to suspend said brush on any suitable support.
