Application November 13, 1941, Serial No. 418,978 1 Claim. (Cl. 173-343) The present invention relates to new and useful improvements in electrical connectors, and has for its primary object to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, a device of this characshaped circular groove 23 in the wall of the bore 5 accommodates the resilient elements 8 and permits flexing thereof in opposite direction.
The male member I includes a prong 9 which ter comprising male and female members of a 5 projects from ahead Ill. The prong 9 is engagenovel construction and arrangement whereby the able in the bore 5 of the plug 3 and said prong connection may be expeditiously made without is of sufiicientlength to extend entirely through the necessity of holding the male member in a said plug and project therefrom. At an intercertain predetermined position prior to its inmediate point the prong 9 has mounted thereon sertion. 10 a collector ring I l of substantially concave cross- Another very important object of the invensection in which the elements 8 of the ring 6 are tion is to provide an electrical connector of the engageable.
